Hi,
My name is Chana Etengoff and I am a Developmental Psychology doctoral student at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY), and Principal Investigator of this study concerning the post high school developmental experience. Before you continue, I would just like to remind you that you must be at least eighteen years of age to complete the survey.
The purpose of this research study is to explore the thoughts, values, and life choices of 18-29 year olds within the Jewish community via an online questionnaire. The estimated time of questionnaire completion is 20-30 minutes. Participation in this study is completely voluntary and refusal to participate or discontinued participation will involve no penalty or prejudice. If you do choose to participate, you will be assisting researchers in discovering more about this population in the hopes that this information can be helpful at both a clinical and theoretical level.
Participation in this study involves minimal risk as you will be provided with an option to complete this questionnaire completely anonymously. You are not required to provide your name or any other information which could identify you with ease. However, if you would like to provide your email address for future contact purposes, this piece of identifying information will remain confidential and will be stored in a locked file to which only I, and my advisor, will have access to. In addition, the questionnaire is posted on a secure server system.
Please be aware that I may publish results of the study, but names of people, or any identifying characteristics, will not be used in any of the publications. If you would like a copy of the study, please provide me with your address and I will send you a copy in the future.
All questions regarding the goals of the research, research procedures, or the results of this study can be directed to the principal investigator, Chana Etengoff via phone (212) 817-8717 or via email at cetengoff@gc.cuny.edu , or to faculty advisor, Herb Saltzstein at (212) 817-8717 or via email at hsaltzstein@gc.cuny.edu. In addition, if you have questions about your rights as a participant in this study, you can contact Kay Powell, IRB Administrator, The Graduate Center/City University of New York, (212) 817-7525, kpowell@gc.cuny.edu.
